We are involved in efforts to preserve the heritage fruit and vegetable varieties brought to New Zealand by the early pioneers. Some of these trees remain in our historic valley and have been propagated to ensure their survival.

We grow these in our garden our garden and produce a range of organic jams, pickles and preserves which, together with other locally produced items, and the range of chemical free and environmentally friendly cleaning products we use, are available for sale in ‘The Store’ at the rear of John’s wood workshop.

We also have a weekly stall at The River Traders market in Whanganui on Saturday mornings selling our own and other produce from the Whanganui River valley.

From Our Kitchen
We make a variety of organic home-baked breads, muffins, biscuits etc , all made from the best of ingredients and using my Mums traditional recipes.

  • Breads – kumara, multi-grain wholemeal or our own sourdough --Large $5 Medium $4 or individual mini loaves $2
  • Muffins -- sweet or savoury -- $2.50 ea.
  • Biscuits and slices $1 - $2 each

From Our Store
We have a range of other items available to assist with your needs, some are always available such as jams, pickles, sauces etc, and there are others such as muesli, yoghurt, cakes, meal items such dessert biscuits, ice-cream, pasta sauces, pesto, etc which are available if required.

We also keep lamb racks, Angus pure steaks, and hand-made sausages in the freezer in The Store. Fresh eggs from our chooks and in season organic fruit and vegetables as available
